A new version of WordPress [version 2.9] is released recently.
I just wanted to write a quick note to all my theme users.
All my themes are compatible with WordPress 2.9. You do not need to make any changes if you upgraded your site to use the latest WordPress.

Matt, the lead developer for WordPress, has come up with a post saying “WordPress Themes are GPL too“.
I have been creating WordPress Themes, ever since WordPress started supporting Themes.
I do not agree to him saying “WordPress Themes are GPL, too” and I will put my thoughts about it in this post.

Please read it in full and feel free to let me know what you think. I will keep an open mind to listen to you.

In a recent news from the development team of WordPress, they said “Themes are GPL too”, but I tend to disagree.

All my themes are compatible with WordPress 2.8. There is no line of code that needs to be changed if you want to upgrade to WordPress 2.8.

The new version of WordPress (version 2.8) is available as of now. You can go to this post to learn more about it, check out a video and download it.
