When I asked you “How many of you use the “custom header image” option?, the unanimous response from all of you was “Yes, Absolutely, We all love and use that feature a lot !!!”
Now, People started asking me for the complete list of themes that supports this feature.
Themes created by me that supports “Custom Header Image”
- Bamboo

- CityScape
- CoffeeSpot
- FastTrack
- Floralia
- FlyAway
- iLoveMusic
- MistyLook
- Mountain
- Organic
- Paalam

- Vidiyal
Themes created by other people that supports “Custom Header Image”
This is where I need your help. Post the names of the themes with this feature created by others as a comment to this post. I will update the post accordingly.
- Cutline Theme supports rotating header image, but it not the same as what we are discussing on this post. We are talking about the custom header image feature, where people upload their own image within the WordPress admin, and then they crop the image to fit the header size and then apply that image.

Weblog Tools Collection recently published a post, WordPress Theme releases for 5/16 .
I saw one of the themes that got featured, it was called “Liberty”.

Immediately I thought it is quite a blatant copy of my SeaShore Theme.

If you would like to see a demo of both of the themes, click on the following links.
1. My Seashore Theme Demo.
2. Their Liberty Theme Demo.
When I asked them about this, they said, it is not a copy and they built the theme from scratch.
See the comments section on this post.
If you are a person who knows a little bit of HTML, you would do a “View Source” on the demo page, and you would see the “id”s of the different DIV elements were exactly the same.
Now I want you to be the judge, and let me know if what they did should not be considered a ripoff. Post your views on this.
Thanks.

It seems Eric from Conservablogs realized it is actually a ripoff, thanks to a detail email from one of our readers Ryan from Pixopoint.com.
So, Lets put this thing to rest and move on [Lets stop the comments section on this post].
I do not normally go to this level of writing a post, unless I have no other way of getting the people realize.
I do thank each one of you, who stood behind the truth one more time. Thank you.

Thanks everyone for sharing your opinions through the comment form and the contact form when I initially shared my ideas of a theme club.
I am leaning towards a slightly different idea for the theme club.
How about letting people become a member to my WordPress Theme Shop by paying an annual fee?
This way, if someone wants only some themes from the shop, they would buy them individually and if they want to have access to all of the themes, then they would buy an annual membership.
Of course, As each of my theme is currently selling at about $24, I would have to price this membership fee to a minimum of $100 per year.
What do you think about such a move? Will it work? You think you would join? Please let me know.
Thanks.

The moment WordPress started supporting “Custom Header Image”, I am implementing this feature on as many themes as I develop. In fact, all my popular WordPress Themes like MistyLook, NigaRila, PalNila etc have this feature built into this theme.
All you have to do is, login to your WordPress, go to Presentation / Design and look for the option called “Custom Image Header”. Here you will be able to upload your own image, crop its size to fit your theme and save it. It shows up on your site’s header automatically.
I would like to know how many of you are actually using feature?.
If it is used by a lot of people, why is it not a popular feature in themes done by other people? Please post your thoughts on this.

I released a new free WordPress Theme at my WordPress Theme Shop.
RevBlue2 - is a two column, fixed width theme, with one sidebar at the right and one footerbar down below. Both the sidebar and the footerbar are widgets compatible.
It also contains all the usual page templates like “Archives”, “Contact” and “Links” page templates.
It supports tag when used with WordPress 2.3 or above.
It also supports Gravatar when used with WordPress 2.5 or above.
Check it out at the free WordPress Theme section at WordPress Theme Shop.
